The Tasmanian Leaders Program (TLP) identifies, promotes and develops aspiring business and community leaders, creating significant future benefits for both them and Tasmania. Each year, a new group of participants with one thing in common – high leadership potential – is selected, deliberately from diverse backgrounds, to come together regularly over a ten-month period to learn and cultivate a range of specific competencies crucial to leaders.

TLP is deliberately cross-sector, intentionally diverse and includes participants from the public and private sectors, large and small enterprises, important advocacy groups, community organisations and volunteer organisations. In bringing together individuals from a diversity of backgrounds and exposing them to a cross-section of today’s leaders – to hear their opinions and benefit from their experience – the program fosters the capacity of all participants to learn and engage across a broad range of issues relevant to Tasmania’s future.

Coupled with professional development, creating new networks and the ongoing exchange of ideas, the Tasmanian Leaders Program is a unique and life-changing opportunity to achieve positive outcomes for participants and their employers, and enhances Tasmania as a place to live, work, and do business.

TLP was established in 2007 and will be running its sixth program in 2012.
